After they are all paired up ask (help) them get into two groups vegetables and fruits. When the music stops tell the students to find a classmate with the same food item and talk about the food with each other. Play music and tell the students to dance or move around the room until the music stops. After they finish put two holes on the top of the paper and tie yarn to each hole making the paper a name tag/necklace. Instruct them to color the food item and write a sentence about the item on their paper. Give each student a piece of paper with a healthy food item on it. Question 5: “How can you teach your friends to take care of their teeth?" They will cut/color pictures, place them in order, and write a sentence to match each picture. As the students call out the steps, they will place them in order. They will recall a time when they saw/helped someone bake and think of all the steps required to make a cookie. They will learn what a recipe is as well as how to follow directions. With this lesson the students will learn new vocab words (order, sequence, then, next, etc.) while they help the teacher put ingredients in order.
